While I haven't personally put this puzzle together yet, I have put together 'Woodpile' which features art by the same artist, Bengamin Degen. I loved puzzling the patterns in 'Woodpile' and the artwork in 'Hearth' honestly looks even more fun. Though he uses a relatively minimal color palette, Degen combines the colors together in different patterns to make up his images. The varied combinations of colors creates distinct patterns which makes finding, sorting and placing the pieces easier.
If you haven't tried a Lininus puzzle, the pieces are a decently thick grey-board with a soft-touch matte finish. I really enjoy the cut of these puzzles, it's a varied grid cut that has a decent amount of variety that I didn't come across any false fits (not that it's not possible - my experience just didn't have any). My favorite pieces someone described online as a 'batman' piece which I thought was pretty clever way to describe their pointy shape. The piece fit is reasonable, but not overly snug. You can move pretty large sections around, but you'll want to move them with care or expect some pieces to drop off. Lininus puzzles come with a folded color reference poster where the art is approx 13.25x9.5". The pieces come in a plastic bag and the puzzle packaging has an artist bio on the back and the inner lid has some additional imagery by the artist. Note, expect some puzzle dust.
I think this one is likely going to be a mix of difficulty depending on your puzzling ability. Some people will likely fly through puzzles with his artwork, but it might end up being a little spicy for others. If you find it more difficult, I highly recommend a full color sort. If you do buy it, please leave a review and let us all know how it went!
